Appointment at the High Risk unit went relatively well. Not much was said or done regarding my dumb cervix. Basically it is 'within' normal range, so they will just watch it, and if it gets shorter than bed rest it is. Pray it stays where it is! I don't want to go on bed rest! They weighed me, and I gained ANOTHER pound in 7 days lol. At this rate I will gain the 40lbs or more. I don't think it is going to be hard for me to gain the weight this time! I had to get more blood work done because my thyroid was on the low side of abnormal (Don't you just love that word- abnormal). They checked the babies heart beats, and they were fine. I go back in 5 weeks (March 22) to do the anatomy scan (can't wait to find out what these lil guys are!), and to check on the length of dreaded cervix.
I will say that I am glad I am delivering at that hospital. They sure are thorough. Even the high risk clinic was better. The nurse was very nice, the resident was very nice. They were fairly fast getting me in. When I went to the Civic when I was pregnant with Kiera it was a nightmare. You'd have to wait an hour past your apt at least, the nurse was weird, and the doctor...weirder. They were very impersonal, and treated you more like a number than a person. The only downside to this hospital is that I got lost about 4 times. Though, I was in and out within 2 hours, just in the nick of time before the bylaw man could come and give me an $80 ticket.
Sending you some non-bed rest vibes!
